“ This resort has the perfect location, right adjacent to Naivasha lake. There are zebras, monkeys and waterbucks and so many birds roaming in the resort freely. You can see them while having meals and walking around, making it an incomparable experience, though you will have to save your food from the monkeys. There are hippos in the lake which can be spotted in the day, at night they come to graze in the hotel and are easy to spot. You can catch a boat to see Lake Naivasha and Crescent Island nearby and get dropped right back at the hotel via boat. The rooms are little older but maintained, however beware of mosquitoes and insects which are in loads at such a location. The windows should have netting for ventilation, otherwise the insects get in the bathroom as soon as you open a window. The beds have mosquito nets which the staff will open at night. The food is quite good, I think there is a lot of fresh catch from the lake also. Vegans and vegetarians will have somewhat limited options. The staff are very cordial and the service is good. Beware of stepping out the room alone at night. All in all, though there are some inconveniences, the location, the views, the animals and the service made it an unforgettable experience for us. Highly recommended. ”

“ “Wonderful stay at Lake Naivasha Country Club” The location is unbeatable — right on the lake with incredible views, wide lawns, and wildlife like zebras and monkeys wandering around. It’s a very peaceful and relaxing setting. The service was outstanding. The staff are warm, friendly, and genuinely go out of their way to make guests happy. From check-in to small requests, they always made me feel taken care of. Their hospitality is what truly makes this place special. The only downside for me was the food — it was okay but not at the same high standard as everything else. Still, the overall experience more than made up for it. I’d absolutely recommend this hotel for anyone looking for comfort, nature, and excellent service. I’ll definitely come back! ”

“ This hotel has beautiful grounds, and nice bedrooms but is let down by poor management, which must not care too much as the issues are mentioned in many comments and haven't been addressed. I think there are a few changes they could make that would make it more pleasant and profitable, but perhaps they make enough money from the nice scenery. Food is generally very good, but pretty much the same every meal so we got quite bored of it. The service is poor, not very friendly and quite slow: sometimes it takes half an hour for a drink to come. It's poor compared to the other MGM hotel we stayed. There were times where would have ordered another drink but no waiters came by, our dirty plates usually stack up on the table. Waiters offer drinks, but we didn't realise that included alcohol until our last night. If instead they offered "beer, wine, cocktails or soft drinks?" people would actually buy them. They could also put menus on the table, or mention the fact there are also other food menus to order from at an extra charge. In general it's clear there is a lack of care and quality about the place: bathrooms are in poor condition, towels are almost all ripped and tattered, the pizza we paid extra for was definitely frozen and the cocktail menu is just a list of ingredients. There are also no fans in rooms despite many reviewers complaining about the heat. I personally wouldn't stay here again or recommend it, which is a shame as it's really beautiful, the beds were comfortable, the view is amazing, boat safaris depart from here and the hippos and monkeys roaming around are pretty incredible. ”
